huge spot tonight for the thundering herd and the wrong team comes the favorite in this game...it is the bigger and more important game for this program and you will see it reflected on the floor tonight.we got a 15-4 marshall team off of 2 tight losses...an 8 pt loss at a nuetral site to west virginia and then saturday suffering their first home loss to uab by 2 on a late basket.marshall is 10-1 on this floor and donnie jones in his 3rd year at marshall has made this a tough home court...for the 1st time since joining conf usa and the 1st time in jones' tenure marshall feels they are a better basketball team than memphis...one of the bigger home games they have played in a while and a crucial scheduling spot as far as conf standings go because marshall heads out after this on a 2 game road trip to houston and tulsa...not impressed with what memphis has accomplished on the road...w at ark-lr(5-15 team)loss to umass(7-12 team)win at rice(6-13 team) 2 pt win at s.miss and thumped at syracuse...national tv game in huntington and a "whiteout" from the crowd to go along....marshall can play and memphis finds that out tonight...big statement win for this program and donnie jones...MARSHALL +2.5 is a great play.

real good situation for portland tonight...first off we have a 8-12 road team laying points into a 16-8 home team and a blazer club that has dominated the jazz in the rose garden.monday night blazers played the dreaded first home game off a long eastern trip with just 1 day in between and still should have beaten new orleans giving up a late run and losing by 1...let's look at utah this year when they attempted to step up on the road vs teams with winning home records...2 losses in denver,loss in dallas,loss in boston,loss in cleveland,loss at lakers,loss in atlanta,loss in orlando,loss in miami,loss in okla city,loss in memphis and i'll throw in a loss in minnesota for good measure...portland gets their legs underneath them tonight in the 2nd home game after that trip and add to that jazz road list...no brandon roy has put us in an underdog role here but this portland group pulls together and gets it done on the home floor.....TRAILBLAZERS +2.5 is a great play.
