1-1 Yesterday 65-32 YTD (3-1 2 unit plays)
843 Cincy -1.5 A little late to the party on this one. Georgia has had some bad offensive droughts this year and does not seem to always be ready to play in the second half. They could have trouble with a physical and defensive Cincy team.
1859 1H Iona -7.5 859 Iona -13.5 My initial thought was that Iona is probably a bit overvalued right now and I was not looking to lay this number on a team that does not play defense on the road. Iona is #1 in scoring but also number 1 in possessions per game. Canisius on the other hand is getting and giving plenty of possessions this year (surprising #4 in possessions per game), but not even close to the same scoring efficiency. This is a team that is seemingly trying to play at an uptempo pace and also averaging almost 18 turnovers a game. They will also be without Junior guard starter Gaby Belardo out with injury, one of the leaders of the team (31.0 minpg 11.0ppg 3.0rpg 2.8apg 1.8spg). It seems Canisius style of play will be exactly what Iona wants to do and I think Iona could run away with this one.
1862 1H Sac ST/Oklahoma UNDER 64 2 unit play Thinking this one stays under as Oklahoma will be playing first game without Newell who was the teams second leading scorer although he was coming off the bench. Surprising stat is the Newell had not started a single game yet has attempted the most FG and 3PG on the team while playing 20-50 minutes less than the starting group. Sac St will probably be over whelmed here playing at Lloyd Noble Center much different than the venues they have played at thus far; also a team that has rotated starting lineups almost every game and a true freshman PG that is being asked to run a team that does not have the athletes to score enough. Thinking Oklahoma comes out determined to shut down Sac ST while playing very disciplined now that the quick trigger man of the group is gone.
852 La Sierra/N.Texas UNDER 138.5 Early start in what will probably be a mostly empty Gersten Pavilion. N.Texas has not shot the ball well although they may get easier looks here playing from what I can tell is a below average NAIA Div. 2 school in La Sierra. N.Texas is not the same team that went 22-11 last year and have struggled to put up points although they have played some tough teams.
