3/9 - Nedick's Orange Time 858 Syracuse -7
Having spent the better part of the last two days at Madison Square Garden at my annual pre-Grapefruit Tour ritual, the Big East Conf. Tourney, I will step out of my comfort zone and share my thoughts on roundball today.
This is an excellent spot for the Orangemen to blow off some steam having bested the Huskies, their arch-Big East Tourney nemesis. Having difficulty winning against the now healthy Huskies is nothing to take lightly and this line has the Orange's perceived difficulty in yesterday's win factored in. As for the Bearcats, they get a lot of credit in exploiting G'town's weaknesses yesterday and although they are on an impressive roll winning 8 of their last 10, their only other "quality" win was against Marquette - that's if after last night's game one still considers beating Marquette a quality win.
Syracuse beat the Bearcats by 7 in Cincinnati in late January with several players out. Now they must face the Orange on Syracuse's other home court. Time to forget about the cloud of Sex, Drugs, Lies and Videotapes - this one should not be close at all - the Nedicks wire-to-wire!
