Even though Virginia returns all five starters they were just not that good last season. They only won one road game last season in ten tries. This season they start of with Calvin Baker out a few weeks with a knee injury and Assane Sene has been suspended for Virginia's first three games for conduct detrimental to the team. The Cavaliers struggled in their opening game allowing Longwood to shoot nearly 50% while turning it over 16 times.
