Northern Arizona has faced some tough competition early in the season and were simply overwhelmed by a veteran Weber State team. Weber's agressive (efficient) style of play had NAU on their heels from the opening tip. In looking at NAU's schedule this year I found that after losses, they seem to come out the following game with a solid defensive effort. I am expecting that tonight as they face a happy team coming off a big upset win.
On the other side I am expecting some better defense from EWU as well as they stepped it up last game in the 2nd half vs Montana State from a defensive perspective.

After allowing MSU to shoot 54 percent and owning a five-point lead at the half, EWU’s defense came alive. EWU held MSU to 34 percent shooting in the second half.
“I thought in the last 16 minutes we guarded our butts off,” said Earlywine. “We didn’t guard very well in the first half."
