due to eastern illinois coming in to the tourney on a winning streak i feel we got the better basketball team in a dog role when they could be laying a couple points here...teams split the season series but the last meeting on this court february 13th should stick out in the colonels mind...as a 3 point favorite eastern kentucky lost by 23 and it was the largest margin of defeat in the last 86 games they have played since a pounding at duke on 11-25-07!!!...the difference is that the duke beatdown was expected while this one just over 2 weeks ago was not and is still fresh...in that game we had an aversion from the norm with eastern ill shooting 55% from the field and 67% from 3 pt range while eku shot just 35% from the field and 29% from three...the thing is that eastern kentucky is 2nd in the conf in fg% and 1st in 3pt% so that night was the biggest anomoly of the season and just a nightmare for this team...i think we get a good eku team off a disappointing game saturday night when they hosted conf king murray st on senior night and didn't play well...eastern ill on saturday night was tied at 61 late in the game at home vs a 9-22 tennessee st team before scoring the last 5 to win and i think they get caught tonight...eastern kentucky +1 is a play.
