561) Portland +1 vs USD, on Thursday 561) Portland (+1) vs Toreros USD has some chemistry issues IMO. Their last 2 games they just looked sloppy and were lost. It took all they had to beat Santa Clara and were dominated on the boards vs USF. This does not bode well for them vs the Pilots, who really showed they are rounding into form by the way they played vs the Zags. Home court is nothing at the fat lady pavillion. Portland for 1.5% Good Luck

Good luck USD always seems to have problems. Whether dissention, injuries, suspensions. Just never seem to be as together as they should be. TJ Campbell's 12 assists with no turnovers in the loss to the Zags last week pretty impressive for Portland. Good luck. Hope you win it.

He is always suspending one or more of them and it seems that the chemistry is just not there...too often.

Grier's constant suspensions and such (Johnson & Jackson started a game last weekend on the bench for some offense or other)and your comment reminds me of Dennis Felton at Georgia. UGA needed someone to clean up the ooze from the Harrick mess, but the players chafed under Felton's discipline. That was understandable, but then even Felton's own recruits didn't respond to him and eventually he didn't recruit well because these coddled kid didn't want to be getting up at 5AM and having extra study halls and curfews and hte like. I thought he was a home run for UGA but the tough coach, even if it's tough love approach doesn't really work today.
