# 650 cal poly slo +2.5 the wrong side is favored in this opening round big west game from the anaheim convention center...simply put the better basketball team is getting points here in a fantastic spot for the mustangs as well...these teams just met saturday at cal poly and poly lost 91-84 in overtime...that's not the story...the story is that with just 48 seconds left in regulation cal poly led by 8!!...a complete meltdown and irvine then hits 4 three pointers in a row with the last one at the buzzer to force overtime where poly had to be in shock,they crumble and lose by 7 in their home finale...that being said we can't lose sight of the fact it WAS an 8 pt lead that late in the game and even before that night i like the form of this poly team...before that debacle the mustangs beat 1st place ucsb,lost to a fullerton team ahead of them in the standings by just 2 at the buzzer,went all the way to hawaii in a mail it in spot to win that game as a dog,lose a tight one at northridge where they had a lead with 2 mins left and won outright as an 8.5 point dog at riverside...poly is the better rebounding team and out boarded irvine in both meetings this year...on the other hand the cal irvine resume away from the home floor leaves much to be desired...before the miracle comeback the other night they have dropped 7 in a row away from bren events center and 10 of 11 that includes a 13 pt loss at the hands of a 7-22 cal st bakersfield team...irvine as away from home chalk?...this team a few weeks ago hosted a 1-29 marist team that flew cross country for a 3rd straight road game in the ultimate lay down spot, irvine lays 13.5 and beats them 66-65...cal poly is a better basketball team and just 4 nights ago at home suffered an embarrassing miracle loss to this same team...wrong team is chalk...# 650 CAL POLY SLO +2.5 is a play...good luck fellas
