732 Illinois –21

732 Illinois –21 Hard to believe that Northern Illinois has much of a chance here without there best player Xavier Silas who will be sidelined for the next three weeks with a broken hand. In his place the Huskies will use a true freshman Tony Nixon to run the team. They were not competitive against Northwestern losing by 20 and would also figure to struggle against this Illini team loaded with talent. This game should have a little pace to it giving Illinois more possessions to cover this number. Illinois has shown it has had no problems scoring in this young season and should be able to score on this porous Huskies defense. Rarely do the Huskies step out and play a team with this kind of talent. Last time they played an out of conference opponent ranked in the top 20 they lost to Notre Dame by 46.
Thanks, coolmil
Thanks for the post.
Nice job last night Helmut. Thanks for the play.

tough beat 19 can you believe Illinois wins by 19? I mean who buys a point at 19? Real tough beat here...nothing else to say. Illinois went for the late cover, and nearly got the money... up 15 with 3:47 to go
57.0 61-78 IL Demetri McCamey missed 1st of 2 Free Throws 57.0 61-78 IL Demetri McCamey missed 2nd of 2 Free Throws
unreal tough beat...unreal two missed free throws probably by a back up player
wait... so Illinois wasn't covering the 21 at any point of the game and its an unreal beat? gmafb
wait... so Illinois wasn't covering the 21 at any point of the game and its an unreal beat? gmafb
agreed. there is nothing "unreal" about it at all. no bad beat. it was simply the wrong side.
