# 764 rhode island pk thanks to the name "north carolina" we get to play this solid rhode island team at an absurd price...just 3 weeks ago north carolina closes out the regular season in their "super bowl" in a revenge spot and proceeds to lose to duke by 32...they follow that up with a 1st round exit in the acc tourney falling to ga tech by 4 to finish 5-11 in a conference that was down...can we possibly buy the idea they are a pk on a nuetral court vs a 26 win rhode island team that would love to stick it to the "big name" school in the mecca of hoops...rhode island has a roster full of kids from the tri-state area who haven't played in madison square garden and the rams fan base sold out their allotment of tickets immediately and are taking 6 full busloads into the city for this game...this is the MUCH MUCH bigger night for jimmy baron's program...tar heels were just 5-10 in road or nuetrals this year while the rams were 11-7...rhode island is a more efficient team offensively and a better overall defensive team not to mention the far hungrier team tonight...as far as acc pedigree goes well rhode island this year went into boston college and won by 11 along with going into virginia tech in a postseason setting and winning there by 7...north carolina lost in BOTH of those venues this year...enough said...rhody shoots a higher % from the field and the ft line...this line is terrible and a true number would be rhody -3 or 3.5...rams seize this oppurtunity tonight and march on to the nit finals...# 764 RHODE ISLAND PK is a big play...good luck gentlemen.

your anaylsis didnt include a vomit fest from the free throw line or the zebra's missing the trip at the end of OT. I had Rhode Island fairly large...what a tought game to give to the books

I'm no college head coach, but how do teams not foul in that situation? Throw up a shot at the buzzer, and you essentially have 4 seconds to go the length - and that's if you get a clean rebound with an outlet available. Not to mention NC's abysmal shooting from the line! That was a tough beat.
