# 817 providence +10 really like the form of this friars team...thursday night they went into depaul in a tough spot catching an emotional home team playing their 1st game under a new coach and came out with a 17 pt win.keno davis has brought his "keno ball" to the big east and these kids absolutely love playing for this guy avg 82 ppg...friars are a 4-3 road team having just 1 dd loss at notre dame coming after a 9 day layoff over x-mas break.so in 6 of 7 away games have either won or competed wire to wire including a 9pt loss at 11-6 alabama and a 4 pt loss at 14-2 rhode island....marquette comes in today off an 8 day layoff and i think that could be to the friars advantage being a running team and maybe trying to set their pace early...marquette has played 10 home games but 6 were vs "non board" teams they were supposed to run out of the gym.in the other 4 they are just 2-2 with the only dd win vs wisc-milwaukee in a city bragging rights game.marquette will have their hands full today and providence is playing with confidence...number is a little too high.
