both teams come in 7-7 but i just like the current state of the minutemen more in this game.coach derek kellogg of umass is from springfield and grew up there.in the past year or so he has worked with the mayor there to give back a lot to that city and to set up camps for kids.the umass players know the importance of their coach winning this game with all the local support that will be in attendence and i know it's very important to kellogg himself.they play just once a year here and last season kellogg brings his team in and they beat a 14-1 dayton team...it's not just another game for this coach and i think it's to our advantage here in a pick em type situation.i also believe it was almost a look ahead as well as last time out umass was a 15 pt favorite vs fordham and had to win at the buzzer.not a look ahead to lasalle but instead to the "coach kellogg springfield game"....lasalle has dropped 4 in a row but the last 3 have all been close and that could leave a team with some doubt.good go against spot as lasalle last time out was down 20 in the 2nd half vs xavier came all the way back to end up losing by 6...going to face a umass team that treats this game differently.....umass has always played well in this building and it continues today...UMASS +1 is a big play
