I need my head examined Is it possible that BYUs best player had his worst shooting night because of Florida's defense and Florida's players just being better? I am not sure of the average point differential of OT games, probably a way to find that out. With absolutely no data to back it up, I am going to guess it is over 3. I think the better chance for a cover was in the regulation had BYU made the second FT giving BYU a 1 pt lead, but even then there was still 48 seconds left. Then one could still come back to the fact that Florida missed 3-4 FT in the last 2 min. I do find it interesting the differing opinions on the game and appreciate the criticism. I watched the game a second time trying to have an open mind, but I just don't see it the other way. I see a team in BYU that was struggling to keep up. I tried to imagine if I had taken BYU, I would have watched the game feeling like I picked the wrong side and hope to get lucky at the end, and that nearly happened. Rather than feeling like I had the right side and hoping Florida wouldn't blow it.
it's up now. quadjacks.com tonight : Marq - big , leans KY and FSU
Is it possible that BYUs best player had his worst shooting night because of Florida's defense and Florida's players just being better?
Two guys who played the game were announcing and both observed he seemed to be slowed down by a hamstring injury. The second this happened, I knew it would affect the spread. I think it was Jimmer who got called for a charge, that was clearly a bad call. The Emery kid got a technical foul. Bad call, leads to technical foul--probably at LEAST a four-point turnaround for a game that went into OT.

No doubt Jimmer was struggling, I just give some credit to the defense. I never pay attention to the announcers as I watch games on mute. Those were bad calls; there were also some against Florida. BYU shot 3 FT in the first and 13 after, so they got some whistles late that kept them in the game.
Guys, without being rude, this is turning into amateur hour on the board. Fez insinuated that Boston was a low character guy. As far as I know, no one has ever questioned his ability to pick games. Anyone in the know, and some of us that aren't, know that he's one of the best college basketball handicappers in the business. He was hired by Billy Walters as an a handicapper for the Vegas Syndicate years ago. This should tell you everything. The guy knows how to pick games. Nobody is going to hit them all. To judge anyone's handicapping ability on one game is just ludicrous.

I was just discussing a game where I was trying to get other points of view on what they felt of the game and what the right side of the game was. I just like to get others points of view to keep mine open. Just having a discussion on a message board. But I will stop with this thread.
I've seen enough of Boston to want to avoid him I won't bore all with personal observations. Pokertableratings.com pretty much sums it up. Alan Boston at Full Tilt a 'Full Tilt Poker Pro' Either he has an imposter donking for him, and/or he is horrific. Either way, it is consistent with stuff I have seen from him. Contrast his numbers with yours truly, Andy296 at Stars (and I play on Bodog with similar/better numbers).

Does your March Record make you the same? Too funny...
