Alan Boston(akaBoston Red)--WOW!

His poker stuff is consistent with his life attitude Fine for him to be a terrible poker player. NOT FINE to get paid to be a poker pro, then have someone else pretend to be him, and play horribly. I will say if you want a mean spirited dude that can rip into a poker dealer you hate, and make her cry, then Alan is THE MAN. Alan is entertaining, generous, good radio, and has a personality.
Not to stifle this thoughtful and engaging conversation, but let's take this trip down memory lane before reading further. In other words, many people have offered opinions on the man, so before spending more time on the same stuff, check here first: https://www.lvasportsboards.com/showthread.php?t=2377 The podcast mentioned toward the end BTW is a very good Super Bowl basic strategy reference if the link still works.

No doubt he has a lifetime of rage under his skin from his chosen profession. Also, I can't remember any person I know of good character get clubbed in the head walking into the riviera
Sat: Butler and Ariz

Alan Boston Suggested plays Radio: A great listen. But.......not exactly a good teacher IMO .......rambling man, ADD, cannot give 'basic strategy betting' IMO. Eating: Best bet. The man will ignore all personal bills just to buy you dinner. Investing with: See eating. Act accordingly. In all seriousness, you would think a guy as smart as Alan would have had the light bulb go on, and realize "HEY>>>>>>>these totals are off by 8 points, why am I betting sides off by 1.5......MAYBE
The folks that know Boston privately know that he may have some shortcomings and some issues. 1) He has more raw handicapping ability than anybody I have ever worked with....and it is NOT even close. 2) Had a MONSTER 2011 CBB campaign, thank you very much. 3) Will go down in history as a LEGEND, just like Stuey Unger. These High IQ guys are almost extinct. 4) None of us are perfect, and neither is Boston, but he is real and has nothing to prove, never has....never will.
I might also add Just in the general CBB trends and ideas that he has given me over the last 5 years, it has been worth a minimum of 10 units per year with no capping, not to mention his selections.
I might also add he hasn't gone tout with a losing record For whatever that is worth.
Grabbing for straws = Losing Not .....WINNING
