Are the Knicks for real?

Are the Knicks for real? Tonight the streaking NY Knicks W8 vs the Celtics W10 streak, the line is up to Boston -4, I'm a buyer at +5, but don't think we'll get there. On Friday the Knicks host Lebron and the Miami Heat! I think we'll see a very competitive game tonight and if the Knicks win perhaps a similar line against the Heat? Maybe then we step in and lay a small favorite. But if the Knicks can win both games you can say they are for real! Your thoughts?
I will tell you the Knicks have played the Celtics TOUGH at times the last few years. Now with more ammo, it will nto be easy for Boston.
Dantoni was asked which game he wanted to win more yesterday. Said he wanted to win them both (obviously) but game against Celtics was more important because they are in same division. This game reminds of when they went to Chicago on TNT early in the year. With this game being on ESPN, feels like a statement game for New York and I think we should get a great effort tonight. I agree with your thinking, Knicks is only side tonight, and Heat is likely the only side on Friday.
Got to disagree here for a couple reasons. Knicks while playing well haven't been playing any top tier teams during this streak. Also Celtics been hearing a lot of rivalry talk recently concerning Knicks and will want to make a statement here on National TV, playing in hostile environment not a big deal to this veteran team. Uptempo NYK style plays right into Rondo's game as well: see 20+ assist game vs NYK earlier this year. Celts well rested and Shaq says he will play tonight.

I am a bit biased as I have been a die hard Knicks fan for as long as I can remember and have watched nearly every game this season and can say without a doubt that this team has some heart and should keep these games competitive. Not sure how much people want to put into trends, but read somewhere that the celtics are 1-5 this year ats off a 15+ point win, which has been pretty consistent over the last couple years. That being said I can't see the C's laying down or over looking te new look Knicks. I think that Felton will match up pretty well with Rondo due to his speed and active hands. In my opinion the important matchup will be Amar'e and KG. Either way should be a great game with a lot of energy. Wouldn't be surprised to see the C's leading at half and the Knicks come back to win it in the second half as they tend to be a better second half team this season.
Not saying I am betting the Knicks, but they are the only side I would take in this contest. This game means 10 times more to NY than Boston, and more often than not the more motivated team in the NBA covers the spread.
