when there are roughly 110 games on the college board there is bound to be a few bad numbers....this is one of them.the mocs today will get 2 key guys back from a little 2 game suspension in odem(8 ppg and leading ft shooter)and mckeither(leading rebounder)...this is not the point spread role for samford.and they are way out of their element laying this ridiculous price...actually the bulldogs haven't been favored in too many games this year and the last 5 times they were chalk it was between 1.5 and 3.5...these teams met just 10 days ago in chattanooga and the mocs were a 3.5 point favorite that lost by 24...that was only 2 games ago for utc and in addition they are off losing as a home favorite next time out vs furman...now they have had a week off and this game is circled for chattanooga in a short turnaround revenge spot...i am not big on revenge but the more recent imo then the more relevent...this beatdown from samford on the home floor JUST HAPPENED 10 days ago...in that meeting were some stats that can not be matched today...samford shot 61% from the field and went 15-24 from 3 point range!! while utc shot 29% from the field and missed 23 3 pointers!...those are statistical anomalies...getting +7.5 here with maybe the better basketball team and they are a game ahead of samford in the conf standings coming off 2 home losses as chalk with one being by 24 to today's opponent...bad number and a horiffic role for samford...mocs go from laying 3.5 to this team to getting 7.5 just over a week later...insane overcorrection
