How big was the 3 pointer at the 1st quarter buzzer??? margin was only 2 points at the final and still plenty of time to overcome this mistake but all 3 professional officials missing this basic mistake in their ruling. Replay won't allow for a violation to be called but it surely should have been noticed in real time by the referees. They use the replay to establish that the shot was off prior to the time expiring but the moment Miami shooter touched the ball it was a violation. He was still in the backcourt as no front court position had been established by the shooter and the announcers were clueless as usual. amazing on how at every level players, coaches and announcers lack a full understanding of the rules and the finer points of the rules.
if fez can make an issue for a full time staff member to be in charge of clock management then i can lobby for a full time memeber to be in charge of the rules of the game(s).
