ESPN Radio Commercial for Colin Cowherd show

ESPN Radio Commercial for Colin Cowherd show I remember listening in March I think over and over to an advertisement for his show and there was good advice there: "Teams with 6'3" point guards who shoot jump shots and Carlos Boozer don't win championships." (Said emphatically without a shiver of doubt this team would eventually lose.) Did anyone else hear it? It is easy to kick them when they're down and Rose isn't always shooting jump shots but it isn't a bad one line summary of what's going on. A week ago the Bulls looked like they had a great coach, the MVP, a few other good players and a pretty strong bench. Maybe it is still true but Spoelstra is looking smart too, LeBron is looking like an MVP, Miami's other good players we know are really great players and some of their bench guys don't look as useless.
SpolestRA drew up one hell of a play at the end of regulation. As did thibideau
Cowherd had changed his tune after Bulls game 1 victory. Said he could see that they would get to every loose ball and it would be very hard for Heat to win series.
The Cavs last year and the Bulls this year are poster children for exposing a great myth in sports about the importance of defense. Great defensive teams can finish with the best record in the conference, but to win in the postseason, the team with the most weapons wins. If Pau Gasol is your only weapon, you won't win in the postseason. If he's your distant No. 2 weapon, you will win. If LeBron James is your only weapon...but if he's one of three. Insert Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen...when they were their team's only weapon...but once they were all on the same team. Rose at least has more talent around him then any of the above did on their previous teams, but Deng, Boozer, Noah would all be great No. 3 options, not one is a consistent No. 2. Throw the defense cliche around all you want. Unless your No. 2 offensive player would be No. 1 on 2/3 of the teams in the NBA, you ain't going anywhere. Miami has three No. 1s. Chicago has one.
