Fezzik March Tournament Selections, 847 1st pick 847 Ind St +1.5 2h 1 weight.
I guess my question would be "what is the model moving forward" I think that all depends on Anthony and the other Mods. The site, and correct me if I'm wrong, has digressed into a bunch of random posters. I don't think the issue is the 199 fee, all that does, and Anthony is 100% right about this, is keep the idiots and morons from making this like the old Fezziks Place. The site has lost a lot of good posters. No longer does Alf, Trushot (rarely) Helmut, Charlie J, The Dude, and Discreet Cat post here. DC had 2 HUGE horse racing winners, but I had to get them at EOG. I think the site could use a facelift. I mean, it is a sports forum, don't know how much you can really do. I had a few ideas like getting Alf back, having some contests, and maybe putting up some good sports or vegas related articles or topics. Unfortunately- it's seems like the site hinges on one guy, if he wins, everything is good, if he looses, everyone wants to jump ship. I guess I can understand that. That being said, to blindly follow Fezzik, or anyone else is risky. Everyone should do their homework. I like to follow Fezz, Stevie Y, NBA Guru and a few hockey guys, but if I don't like their plays, or line is off by the time I put my bet in, I just don't play it. These forums, whether it's LVA, Betting Talk, EOG, or whatever, should really just be a good source to gather information, which will allow you to make YOUR OWN decisions on a particular event.
Some good points here. I feel some of our recruited friends let us down, but that's a lesson learned. We'll take a good look at the model. If it's worth making big changes, we will. But I still maintain that a site that doesn't allow nastiness is worth something and that's a quality we will always have here. Personally, I get a lot of good information out of these boards, but I also incorporate a lot of other things in my own betting, as I've made clear in the past.
"Some good points here. I feel some of our recruited friends let us down, but that's a lesson learned." Who was recruited and what did we learn? Was Alf a recruit? Dude? I don't care who or whom you pay, I don't care how they get here- I'm more concerned about why they leave. Not just here for picks- I use them to augment, but when we lose guys that have good insight and explainations it bothers me. What makes them pick up and leave?
Lesson learned for us. People we counted on to be a bigger part of this took their comps and sucked information, but didn't contribute. Not that rare. You weren't here at the start. It was a different, but promising, model that didn't hold up.
I;d rather have less people complaining about losing bets and bump up the price more , how can somebody feel better when they see another guy drop over 5 dimes on the same gm lol

i think the model is fine , little slow at moment but thats ok it will ramp up again in mid late july for early numbers and futures etc
It was a different, but promising, model that didn't hold up.
Your use of the past tense here is concerning.
i think the model is fine, little slow at moment but thats ok it will ramp up again in mid late july for early numbers and futures etc
I could not agree more. What would anyone in their right mind prefer: a forum with a few posters, most of whom are solid, or a forum with every Tom, Dick and Harry posting their plays and then sifting through the threads to figure who are the consistently strong players? If you did not make money in CFB with lonewolf's and pstone's plays, bluehorseshoe in CBB (especially early on) and now lonewolf in ICE, then you are not watching. So Fez did not hit his best stride of late (Fez - love your commentary even though I only understand 50% of what you type probably because your mind moves 100 times faster than your fingers on the keyboard), so others departed (quite frankly some were more fluff than anything), there still remains many superior thinkers - Joel, Skeeter and Cizzle come to mind but there are plenty more. (Apologies to anyone worthy not mentioned) Bottom line, this place is full of great minds, brains and logic. Gambling is a learning experience - much to read and learn here. I have nothing to gain by stating the above; give it time gentlemen - the core here is solid! Rudy
Well put Rudy, I concur.
