Fezzik NBA Playoff results (draft), YTD weighted playoffs 24-6. 10-0 on 2 and 3 wght
Wow!!! I am not denying I said this to you Jim, but I don't recall saying it. If I did say this, it must have been back when Fezziksplace was around and there were all those bad seeds around always just waiting for the ones that posted plays to lose so they could attack like vulchers. Personally I rather see Fezzik win than lose for many many reasons with reason #1 being that we are friends.
My bad, Flipper. I was just joking. I felt you, and Fezz, knew me well enough that you would realize I was just joking. You never did say anything like that. That was me making a poor attempt at being funny. I apologize for having such poor judgment on my posts. Oh, did you hear that the Pac-10 is expanding bringing in Pasadena JUCO and the Fighting Artichokes from Scottsdale JUCO to the league? Sam Gilbert is funding the expansion.
Before I say this here is a disclaimer: I don't care if the hosting posters (Fezz and Alf) win or lose. I think they are both winning bettors going forward. I don't come to this site for their picks, I am more or less here for the cheap discussion, the local sports betting community, and the tax writeoff. 98% of the time their picks don't influence my personal betting decisions. That being said, I do think there are people who joined this site just for the picks. These posters are openly touted on the website, they are the main reason people join this site. It's your site, but I do think there should be some long-term accountability on posted plays. I can see how some of the critics in the past have cited selective record keeping when you are touting it when you are doing well and quiet when you aren't. You can be sure they will be back to dog when you are having a bad run and not keeping a record.
I understand all the avenues of thinking on this. We just made a decision not to get locked into doing it. And upon reflection heading into our second season, I'm happy with the way it is.
I, I, I, don't know what to say. Actually, I should comment futher. I hope it's understood that we don't discourage record-keeping, we just aren't going to commit to doing it, nor allow all the rancor that often accompanies disputes over what's the proper way to do it. Fez wanted to post the record for his recent run, that's cool. Someone wants to compile something that encompasses a longer period, that's cool, too. We just don't want to have everything revolve around it.
Just an FYI for all members. Im not trying to be malicious in any way. I took out any links that were in the post. From PerpetualCzech posted 05/09/10 at SFW: Fezzik's Updated LVA Record: Dreamer compiled a record for Fezzik's picks over at LVA from inception until Dec 21/2009: During that period he risked 272.5 (actually slightly more with juice - I just added up all the weights to get one number) and lost 30.77 units. I went through all of Fezzik's picks since then starting on Dec 22nd and have an updated record. Since then he has risked 348.95 units, and lost 10.56. That makes a total since inception of: Risk 621.45, lose 41.33, ROI -6.7% Anyone interested in downloading a spreadsheet in Excel format that lists all the picks may do so here: I can't post at LVA but for anyone who can it would be interesting to see if they delete this if posted. In the thread where Fezzik complied a record of his "recent run" Anthony welcomes anyone to post further records.
Considering the source (and what I've explained in the past), I should simply take this down, but I won't. PerpetualCzech isn't barred. He had his comp rescinded. He's pissed, yet wouldn't -- or can't (and I don't mean he can't afford it) -- fade $24.95 to be able to put it up here himself. Instead he asks others to post for him. That's just weak. Frankly, he doesn't deserve even this much space on this site. I don't know how he compiled this or whether it's accurate or not, but I can simply put no creedence in anything this type has to say. Malcontents such as this are the precise reason this board exists. I'm just not interested in them.

One of the good things about keeping records is that it makes it easier to refute other's disparaging remarks
If I cared about refuting it, that is. Those that want to look at it can, but why should I care about the agenda of someone from the outside?
Anthony, why put up with some of these people. This board has great value. Just kick their butt off let them go somewhere else and complain.
When it becomes overly tedious, that's what I'll do. We honestly don't have a problem with investigation and quantification. But it's not prudent to in any way endorse this tactic. I could care less what others do at their sites, but they sure seem to be obsessed with ours.
