First let me say hello and welcome. I have been taking a break from my NCAA basketball plays, but for what it is worth I would not lay the 15.5 in this spot tonight. No doubt the Zags will probably tear through the WCC, but the Zags get everyone's best shot in the conference and I tend to think Portland can keep this within the number. This being a road game for Gonzaga and after this game they go on the road for a much tougher task against Butler in two days I am just not sure we will see a blowout tonight. You could also consider this game a classic "sandwich" game if you prescribe to that theory since they just had a home game against SMC, usually a big rivalry game in conference. Portland has been a bad team to back thus far this year, but they have done better against tougher competition ATS. I usually always first look at home dogs in conference play, so I may be a biased. I generally think that when a perceived weak team at home and plays a perceived strong team in conference, all the value is on the perceived weaker team. WCC play can be much closer than one might think. Portland should have some good home crowd support tonight since I believe this would be the first home game since students have been back from break. Also for as good as the Zags core group is, they are not that deep. If Olynyk or Harris gets in to foul trouble early that could be all it takes for Portland to easily cover this one.
Hope you win either way. As I said I am taking a break so no bets for me.
