RENO, Nev. -- Fresno State starting shooting guard Mike Ladd has been sent home from the Western Athletic Conference tournament, a member of the team's staff said this morning.
Fresno State is seeded No. 5 at the tournament and is set to face No. 4 Louisiana Tech in the quarterfinals at the Lawlor Events Center at 2:30 p.m.
Ladd averaged 10.3 points and 3.5 rebounds this season. He’s shot 39.1% on 3-pointers.
Guard Brandon Sperling will likely take Ladd’s place in the lineup. The team was already facing the challenge of having a sick Sylvester Seay. The Fresno State forward has practiced once the past four days because of illness but is still expected to play today.
