GREAT, GREAT Situational CBB Play Today - Tulane vs ECU How about this for a once in a year situation play for CBB. Tulane hasn't played a game in eight days. East Carolina has been CRUSHED in their last four games by 15 or more points including late yesterday afternoon at Southern Mississippi. That's right they played yesterday at 5:00 PM EST. I haven't seen a regular scheduled college team playing on Saturday and then Sunday both on the road going back eight years in my data base. They had to bus three hours last night and arrived around 1:00 AM in New Orleans. They now play at 3:00 PM EST against an improved Tulane team that can score and run you out of the gym if your not ready. Tulane -8' (-110) is the strong play here. Lee Sterling - Paramount Sports

good luck lee....i've got a strong position on the other side....as for the back to back road games situation big sky teams have been playing on the road friday nights and saturday nights....but sat-sun makes it an 8 year thing?....inflated number at it's finest here...tulane only ran out alabama st and nc a&t....conf games played at a different pace and mindset good luck lee at least 1 of us is cashing a ticket

Response Lenny - We are on different sides. My power ratings have Tulane a 7 point favorite taking into consideration home court advantage. Considering the strange situation I feel you should add 3-4 points. Also, FYI ECU arrived in New Orleans at 1:00 AM. I don't care if they are college kids. They have got to be TIRED.

FWIW, the last time Tulane covered a pointspread at -8 or higher? 1/23/08, against SMU. It's been a while....

Is Tulane often a large favorite? I don't follow college basketball very close but I def don't remember seeing them in the end of year tournaments the past 2 years. Good to see you around, Teddy. Been playing any hoops?
