Ashton Gibbs -1.5 (-125) vs. Toure' Murry
Wichita State will play the game without its point guard and leading returning scorer from last season. Clevin Hannah, who averaged 11.2 points per game last season, was suspended by the NCAA for the first three games of the season because of an administrative error by the school. The suspension has forced Marshall to reshuffle his lineup. Toure' Murry, the shooting guard last season has been starting at the point in Wichita State's first two games. I think with the additional responsibilities his scoring may suffer. Also Toure' Murry did have some really poor scoring games last season against the teams from the power conferences.
Pitt enters the game with injuries and suspensions of its own. Jermaine Dixon again will sit out with a foot injury that has been slow to heal, and Gilbert Brown won't be eligible to return until Dec. 20. It looks as if Ashton Gibbs will have to provide most of the scoring at the moment. His last two games he had 20 and 22 points. Last season he was Pitt's best shooter off the bench and led the Big East in 3-point percentage (.439).
