Harvard

Harvard Outlasting New Hampshire by 3 is the only thing between Santa Clara and a four-game losing streak, all at home. So they have little home court edge to start with. Tonight the bulk of the fans at Santa Clara will be fans of Harvard's Jeremy Lin. Lin's from Palo Alto and is a source of pride in the Asian-American community out in NoCal. Busloads of ethnic-centrics coming in to see the game. https://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2010/1/4/1232730/jeremy-lin-the-new-steve-nash Lin's a star and the Crimson are the much better team here, as Tommy Amaker is taking recruiting to another level in the Ivy League, his supporting staff is pretty good. They want to make this a memorable homecoming for Lin. These "reward the senior with a trip to his hometown" plays can work. Hopefully this one will. Harvard -5.5.
Nice! My numbers have Harvard winning by 15. Glad to see someone much wiser than me is on the same page. Good luck and thanks for the play
The numbers actually made me nervous
Nice! My numbers have Harvard winning by 15. Glad to see someone much wiser than me is on the same page. Good luck and thanks for the play
Unless they're a motivated top team, I'm usually nervous when I see numbers favoring a road fave by that much. And I have Harvard as much better than SC. But the situation insures focus.
Thats a great point. Certainly glad that there is a motivating factor in play

Congrats KO, nice winner Mr Lin was fairly unselfish and that can be a good thing. 9 assists, 3 steals, etc. https://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/boxscore?gid=201001040502
Harvard again on Saturday 548 Harvard -21 Dartmouth coach resigned yesterday after players delivered a letter to the AD saying they would not play again until he was removed. Tons of tumult in this program over the past few days. It will eventually come out that there have been near-brawls between the head coach and players broken up by assistants and a bunch of other stuff. This line is a little short, in my opinion, considering the difference in talent and quality in these two teams. Factor in a team that has gone through all this in the past 48 hours and is now being led by three assistants in their first year in the program, and the lack of preparation and focus is enhanced even further. Harvard's good and there's a wide gap in ability between these two teams. If the Big Green had a few days to prepare maybe they could show why they wanted their coach gone but with such a quick turnaround and preparation and a game plan likely in flux, I laid the big points with the Crimson against a far inferior team in disarray.
nice call KO Easy winner
Harvard One More Time Went with Harvard yet again. This time 631 Harvard -15.5 over Dartmouth. Big Green will have little home court edge. They're a bad, bad team with no local interest in them. Knowing it might be their last win, their new interim coach told them to go out and celebrate after they edged St. Francis (NY) in the last couple of seconds on Monday night. Harvard hasn't played since this matchup two weeks ago so there'll be plenty of focus. Not sure what has changed since two weeks ago when Harvard toyed with Dartmouth by 29 with Harvard starters playing only 55% of the minutes and the Crimson shooting only 3-14 from outside the arc. Harvard and Cornell have both played very well outside of conference so they both actually have some motivation to score big points in these conference games to capture the attention of the selction committee. Realistically it is doubtful that either could earn an at-large berth but that's not how they're thinking. Colgate, Quinnipiac, Furman, and Loyola-MD have all joined Harvard in beating Dartmouth by more than 15.5, and don't see any reason why Harvard can't do the same once again tonight.
