How good handicappers like Fez and Dr. Bob leave me wanting more

How good handicappers like Fez and Dr. Bob leave me wanting more Come on Fez....you absolutely drilled this series with the Mavs. This is your best stuff and you're coming in with 2 weights on these plays. (Hey nice weekend by the way.) You should have laid it on just like the Mavs did except I only make a 2 unit bet for it? Dr. Bob? His write up says he favours the Mavs by 5 or 6 and he comes out with a 2 star (well after the Fez play BTW). As if the NBA board over the whole regular season and playoffs has so many games off by 3 to 4 points. And all throughout the season he has 3 star and even 4 star plays on lines and situations that I don't think have the same line value. The board touched on D. Gordon the other day. I'll go specific here. He's had a rough year but in Game 3 he indicated he thought the Lakers should be -1 and yes he probably ripped up +2.5 on the Lakers but that was enough for him to go to a strong play on the Lakers. Of course, he probably didn't think the Mave should be favoured by 5 or 6 in Game 4 it seems based on his power ratings but you know he's going strong play on Dallas if he did just based on a line so far off and a situation that favours Dallas as well if he had. Fez, you are a great bettor. And IMO an underrated handicapper even with the Hilton wins as things just haven't seen to work out as well on these boards I guess. But I really feel here you blew it from a betting perspective.
The more awareness a game has, the harder it is to put a lot of money on it, because it's more likely the line has been hammered into place already. No one knows every angle, and the more action a game gets, the more likely that some key information is out there. A random Big Sky CBB line is much more likely to be off five points than an NBA playoff game. It's important to trust your information, but it's more important to realize you'll never have all the possible info out there.

Agree w/ the fact he should have gone heavier on the Mavs from start to finish and maybe a series bet if he was confident as that one thread said.... Disagree w/ the fact hes a great bettor and an underrated handicapper... We have no idea how great a bettor he is. We know he's definitely good, not sure if great.... Handicapping, from what I've seen since day 1 here, I would argue as to him being 'underrated'. Based solely on LVA pay boards I'd probably argue "overrated" as opposed 2 underrated IMO.
ice tea - you are a character you've been reading too many comic books...

People who forget or weren't here for the Fezzdaq certainly missed some gems. Anyone who remembers those KNOWS Fezz is a much better bettor then a handicapper.

Joel--Concentrating on lesser known situations like Alf in golf or hockey or small conferences in CBB, NASCAR matchups is a great way to get an edge and it will pay off hopefully with good work in those areas. But the big games also lend to some great situations because the public helps us out. The line may get bet into place with little movement but the line is biased and can present obvious edges. I felt this was one of them. We got a 2 time champion key public team in a 3-0 situation. And as I say a few of the top pros did too but I didn't make enough money on this today. Admittedly, I may come back in another life in a herd of cattle because I should have just been bolder myself on the play. Ice Tea--Not sure I know Fezzdaq but at least you agree he's a good bettor. Fezzik I believe has publicly said he's won miilions doing this somewhere. If he hasn't I'll start the rumour. That gets my stamp of approval of great and I'm sure there are many others so I don't know if he is the greatest of the great but if we split the difference he's pretty good. And your comments are exactly why I think he's underrated. It just seems that the expectations are so high of him based on the Hilton wins and I'm no long term person to message boards but I'm picking up pretty strongly his results haven't been very good so I certainly understand how it is easy to say he's overrated. But I see other cappers at this, I'm comfortable looking at his selections on an equal par with RAS or Dr. Bob.
Well........I did say I was betting Dallas 2nd half, but yes, should have released it I got gunshy just because a whole bunch of guys WERE against me in game III, AND arguably Dallas was NOT the right side in that game. Having said this, Game IV was a gift, especially when #()*%#% Kobe ran his mouth about how LA was 'coming back'. Having said that, I was KICKING MYSELF not giving out 'under' for more than 1 weight. I was 100% convinced by 2 weight 'over' was done........the market HATED it.
Fezzdaq - Fezzik took 10k of Jeff Jones' (I believe) money and was betting for him. Small limit stuff, props, team totals, everything. A lot of what he bet wasn't WA but you could tell that Fezz is very sharp and makes money at this.
ive said this befor and i'll say it again----bring back the fezzdaq
