I just watched a fixed game.
hard for me to judge objectively how good or bad it was to watch. I just lost A BIG bet on SC -7 and more at -3 2H. What I can tell you for sure are these three things. SC has by far the superior athletic talent. The SC coach is either a dipshit, or they don't listen to him. Or both. After every good play by a SC player, I literally wanted to fight them for sticking their toungues out and strutting in such a close game. Of course, close by my standard of winning by 8, that is. Still, the players need to be checked from someone. Where's my valium...
I turned the game on USC up 7, and they fouled the UCLA player shooting a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left in the game. Kind of strange, wouldn't you just let him take an uncontested meaningless 3.
College basketball, IMO, is the most nerve-racking sport to bet on. If you like emotional roller-coaster rides and have a few extra remotes in your viewing arsenal, a 96-game Saturday menu is just what the doctor ordered. Add an in-depth handicapping session prior to the schedule, and you've got a full-time job! (Providing you can win more than you lose. ;) )
exactly
I turned the game on USC up 7, and they fouled the UCLA player shooting a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left in the game. Kind of strange, wouldn't you just let him take an uncontested meaningless 3.
this happened twice in last 30 sec or so. fouling a 3 pnt shooter when all they can do is hoist quick threes? very suspicious at best
this happened twice in last 30 sec or so. fouling a 3 pnt shooter when all they can do is hoist quick threes? very suspicious at best
As the announcer of the game said, the coach was tell them the right things to do, they just didn't listen. Its more of an indictment of the players of today. Stupid is as stupid does as Forrest Gump would say...

Disagree on the game being fixed. The foul calls didn't have to be called. They weren't tackles. And the refs were putting both teams on the line at the end of the game, so I don't think that would be the angle. I felt like USC made some stupid fouls. But those fouls were by the same players that could have slacked off a couple of minutes earlier and prevented them from getting a big lead. UCLA was covering the whole game except for about a 3 minute period toward the end of the game. If anyone was tanking, I don't believe USC would have gotten the 11 point lead they had at one point. The two things I took from that game is that UCLA has no talent and the whole PAC 10 must be awful. I don't watch a lot of PAC 10 ball. That game is why.
agreed
Basketball as any experienced gambler will tell you is so fuckin close. The bad beats and close wins are all over the place daily. I watched every second of this game with big plays on the over and UCLA. Not a fix. 1. On Saturday had under 174 Nova/PC game falls on 173. 2. Had New Mexico -3 and had the game won and lost several times and in OT it fell on 3 for a push after a freshman hit an off balance 3 for the dog 3. SUnday OS/Illinois 2nd half there was 4 three pointers taken in the last minute and if any of them hit the over comes in. Instead all miss and it turns in a L. I could go on. These rough finishes are the norm in college baskets.
Let us not forget Cal Northridge -1
