Lakers X World Champions

Lakers X World Champions Don't be fooled by the 9 point win vs. the S.A. Spares, this team is DONE IMO............
Think you are spot on with that assesment i def agree , most people think they will rebound like they always do in the playoffs Not this time stick a fork in them
I don't know about "most" but I could be wrong. I kinda think Fez is not stepping out on a limb with this comment. He's with the majority on his comment, not the minority. I mean, there are 4 other teams with same or better record than theirs this year, and they just had a key component on their team injured, and had lost 5 straight. It's not like he's saying the 2007 Celtics w/ 66 wins (9 more than anyone else) isn't going to win it all, or the 1995 Bulls with 72 wins (8 more than anyone else) isn't going to win it all... Also, no one is going to be "fooled" with their win last night - they struggled to beat the Spurs who were resting Duncan, Manu and Parker. Who would be fooled?
Squares say the Lakers are the Red Wings of the NBA. You just don't want to face them in the playoffs.
Squares say the Lakers are the Red Wings of the NBA. You just don't want to face them in the playoffs.
Even Ric Bucher said they are no better than a 6th seed right now on Sportscenter today... Obviously no one is going to say "I'd love to play the Lakers" because they still have Kobe & Gasol, but I think there are less people out there thinking they are great than you might expect... I could be wrong... Look at some quotes from ESPN Squares JA Adande and Dave McMenamin. "Bynum was the reason for the Lakers' transformation after the All-Star game and was dubbed the unofficial captain of the team's revamped defense as the Lakers held opposing offenses down while Bynum's impact numbers went up and up (12.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game since the break)." "The Lakers hadn't been able to beat anyone lately even with their lineup intact. And they struggled against the Spurs with San Antonio's starting lineup sitting on the bench all night. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili wore street clothes, and Tony Parker wore Spurs sweats over a uniform that he never got sweaty. Antonio McDyess sat out as well."
