Mon 1/24/11 CBB Starting a new approach today. Can't just stay the same. Gotta try to get better each day. This may not work right away, but I have to be patient with it. Go back to fundamental and logical handicapping.
I will start trying to post plays early in the afternoon and then some late ones (if they are the #'s I like or get some respected movement) closer to game time.
726 Towson (+11)
Hold your nose on this one. Towson is dreadful and has lost 7 in a row. VCU on 6-game win streak and beat archrival ODU on the road on Saturday.
Towson lost by 59, that's right 59!!! at VCU LY (112-53).
VCU could potentially name the score here, but I don't see them having their best effort here off a big win and knowing they killed these dudes last year.
728 Hofstra (-1)
James Madison comes off a really tough loss at home to George Mason where they were right there and just failed to make a couple plays. Hangover effect here.
731 William & Mary/Northeastern OV 125
734 Delaware (+7)
Favorite play on the card. Mason off monster win in the CAA at James Madison. Mason on a 4-game win streak; Delaware 3-game win streak.
Mason now in the "easy" portion of CAA schedule with this game, then Towson at home, then at W & M (which should be 3 wins).
Delaware a nice defensive-oriented home dog (only allowing 34% at home). Delaware has had some nice efforts this year (covered at Mason early in the month, won outright at Santa Clara, win over Old Dominion at home).
736 Kansas State (-5')
All the talk is about the fact that K-State is the most disappointing team in the country. They were ranked #3 preseason (overrated) and now they are unranked and are a bubble team.
I think this is their game and their spot here to get right. Baylor still turns the ball over way too much and K-State is out to make statement here.
