Monday NBA I prefer this in the first half but I'm also playing this for the entire game.
Atlanta at Utah
Hawks should be in a foul (fowl) mood tonight after blowing a huge lead last night at Golden State. While this is their second game of a back to back and third game in four days, keep in mind they have played Phoenix and Golden State, two teams more interested in running than playing physical. Atlanta has won 4 of their last 10 road games in straight up fashion beating the likes of Memphis and Boston. Until last night they had held six straight opponents to double digits. We expect a concerted defensive effort from Atlanta tonight.
While the Hawks were folding badly in Oakland last night the Jazz were staging a huge comeback at Portland. They ended up winning that game in overtime despite being without Okur for the entire game and Kirilenko during the second half. AK 47 had back spasms while Mehmet was back in Utah with his wife having a baby. But despite trailing by 25 points Utah staged a terrific comeback win at Portland. While we expect both players to return tonight all the motivation should be with the visitor.
Utah returns home after a very successful road trip where they went 4-0 winning at Houston, New Orleans, Golden State and Portland. Mentally the Jazz have to be a bit overconfident heading into tonight, especially knowing that they have had their way with the Hawks here the past few years. But this isn't your typical Atlanta team. They have played with a swagger all season and they are becoming a major force in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta is 13-6 ATS off a straight up loss and the defeat yesterday should be especially painful. Look for Atlanta to get out to a strong start and be in this game throughout.
