NBA Monday

NBA Monday 735 Orlando -1.5 -115 You could say that these two teams are going in opposite directions, but that would be too obvious as the Magic have won 5 straight while the Knicks have lost 6 straight. What is clear is that the Knicks are not putting out an effort and just waiting for the playoffs. Interestingly, these two played right here in New York just 5 days ago. Orlando won handily 111-99 at a PK. The Knicks then showed their talents at home vs Milwaukee, lost by 6 and then lose to Charlotte by 8 as a -4.5 chalk. How do you lose/collapse to a banged up Charlotte team that is playing subs and scrubs and surrender 114 pts? The Knicks have no one to play Dwight Howard straight up, they'll double team and foul him as much as possible. Center Ronny Turiaf is useless with a gimpy ankle and Amare gets schooled by Howard every time they play, 13 pts and only 7 rebs last game. For the Knicks to win here they would have to play all out for 40 mins or hit .520 from the floor. I don't see that happening.
ya - no doubt the momentum is in different directions here, but.. nelson unlikely to go for orl tonight and an ~ 3.0 line adjustment in orlando's favor off that last game on 3/23 (same situation with bost teams off 1day or better rest). i can tolerate the market's argument for orl to move off 0.0 pick level this morning but hard for me to play at orl ~2.0
ya - but not hard to play against the Knicks who aren't playing a lick of defense or may not show up. Melo feels obligated to score given the trade...line should be closer to -4 than -2...
