Game 7 home team off a loss in game 6 as a favorite..........
As a general rule for all games within this subset or because the line in this particular situation dictates? Where would you put the line, Bos -7?
Game 7 home team off a loss in game 6 as a favorite..........
Boston opened +2, closed +1. They were never favored in game 6.
Prepositional phrases have long been an area where a writer must put extra attention to avoid confusion for the readers. For instance "as a favorite" can be considered a prepositional phrase modifying the noun "game". These phrases are often used after the noun they modify so this would be a reasonable interpretation of the sentence. However, note if we arrange the prepositional phrase differently we draw another conclusion on the meaning of the sentence: "Game 7 home team as a favourite off a loss in Game 6." In this example "as a favourite" could be a phrase to describe the noun "team" which is further desribed by the adjective "home" which tells me we are referring to Boston. A writer generally should avoid a number of prepositional phrases within one sentence to avoid the chances at confusion by the reader. If necessary to have that many phrases the idea may be better expressed by having 2 sentences.
Teams favored in game 6 that lose, tend to pound teams back home game 7. I'm not going to get too upset that the game was basically a 'pk' game 6. The key IMO is that the lesser team gets fat drunk and happy off their home win in game 6. They have over achieved in the series, all the players and coaches are getting solid press, and they typically know the next opponent woudl clean them out. So book the tee times at Wolf Creek, and it's over baby.
I'm an idiot. NO WAY** Philly was going to win this game ** Ok, some way, but not likely. How I don't ML this game also is beyond me. I was SHOCKED Philly was hanging in there...........even with Boston's best player fouling out........no problem extending the lead.
704 MIA -7-120 3 weight (fine to play -7.5). We won with Boston in a great spot vs. the awful No8 seed Philly. Good. Now we wheel back and fade this dysfunctional, aging, banged up Boston team NOW IN A TERRIBLE SPOT game 1. Mia by 20. Boston gets down, and they quit, and they will save their energy to try to steal game 2. With Fav's on a massive ATS run, I'm shocked the books can open this one at -7 and -7.5 for the copycats. One thing about 2012. It's a lot different from 1999, where we would have to consider taking +9.5.............in 2012 we get to gladly lay -7.5. Let's get on this one ASAP before the sharps like the Dave Mathews Band Fly Like an Eagle and bet it..........
