NBA Tuesday Boston at Detroit
The Celtics stand at 2-1 on the season but they have yet to hit their stride. They have been especially poor in the second halves as it's clear that this team is aging fast. With a game tomorrow against an up and coming Milwaukee squad we can see coach Rivers resting the starters more than normal tonight. After giving it all in the opener against Miami the Celtics big four played less minutes at Cleveland and it cost them. We expect Rivers to take a proactive approach here.
Detroit's not an overly talented team but they have been in every game they have played to start the season. They did run out of gas late against the Bulls last time out in a game they led at the half by 19 only to lose by 10. Because of that we expect the Pistons to be the more fired up team tonight. And in addition all those bettors who lost on Detroit on Saturday will not want to back the Pistons here. That gives us extra point value. Detroit despite an 0-3 record has outscored the opposition in the first half 53.7-46.3. Look for Detroit to get out fast as they take this one to the wire, and unlike in Chicago they don't fold the tent.
