NBA Wed

NBA Wed There are 11 games on the NBA docket and the board is dead, no movement, no action, which tells us the either the linesmakers are on the money or the players are not that interested because they are losing. I think it's the latter, but not with us, therefore we'll take advantage of a couple of weak lines. 716 Houston Rockets -2.5 We'll play the Rockets again who were good to us vs. Milwaukee, here they catch the Knicks on a downward slide (lose L3) and there is no excuse for New York to lose to Sacramento at home. It doesn't get any easier as they start a 3 game Mid West road trip against Houston, Spurs and OK City. The defense is showing signs of breaking down giving up season highs of 129 to Phoenix and 131 to Utah. 717 LA Lakers -3 This is an absolute no brainer bet and a line that is off by at least 3 points. Even with Dirk Nowitzki back in the line-up the Mavs are not playing like a unit and trying to shoot nothing but 3's as their way out of the slump. Caron Butler may be lost for the remainder of the season or return for the playoffs at best. Dallas has lost 6 straight and 9 of their L11. Conversely, the Lakers are playing perhaps their best basketball right now winning 8 of L9.........interestingly the line is leaning the other way??
Yes Alf, I am also shocked at the line of 3 and that it has not moved. Lakers playing very well right now.
I am a homer when it comes to the Knicks and can't agree or disagree with the Rockets pick as I haven't really looked at it, but the Sac game was a terrible spot for the Knicks, coming off that long road trip. Saw somewhere that teams coming home off of west coast trips don't usually fair very well after the game. That being said I see the over being the safer play as I agree that the Knicks De has been subpar these past few games, but they are still scoring. Houston has been quite hot and have transformed from a defensive team with Yao to a team that likes to score as well. Just my opinion, on the other one with you as there seems to be tremendous value in the Lakers tonight.
