NCAA Thurs/Frid games

My 2 cents worth Ive been following this thread with some interest. One of the reasons I enjoy this board is the give and take that exists between the handicappers. Also you probably wont find two better handicappers then the two that run this board. Winning the Hilton contest 2 years in a row! Assuming each game is a coin flip what would the odds be of 1 person beating out over 300 handicappers 2 years in a row. Much too high to think it was an accident. There is no question Fez is one of the top nfl handicappers around. Saying that I believe some have an unrealistic expectation of what to expect following handicappers plays. No matter who the handicapper is there are going to be losing seasons and gut wrenching downswings. After all what type of edge do you think a top handicapper has after the Vig. There is no way to avoid variance. Its up to each person betting to attempt to figure out a way to incorporate other handicappers opinions into there own analysis. Also in addition to have the right money management for your own personal bankroll and risk. If you lose there is only 1 person responsible....and its the person making the bets..period! Fezzik's record speaks for itself. Its amazing. Can he do it in every sport...maybe maybe not...but at least you know you have a top analytical thinker coming up with these plays. RickJ

I've been on Baylor the last 2 months. NO REASON not to step it up in a grat spot vs. a St Mary' team that should get pounded here.
mr. fezzik, right on the money. FREIGHT TRAIN OF CASH GAME OF THE YEAR I LOVE THAT TALK. because i know it's not coming from a CON------FRAUD-----HYPE------SCAMARTIST------RIPOFF-------MARKETER-----PHONY-----SPORTSBETTOR. it was TOTAL COMPLETE DESRUCTION from opening tapoff.
Urg!
mr. fezzik, right on the money. Oh well I guess the whole world is right every once and a while.
Unfortunately I can't respond to your post with the contempt it deserves because Anthony lets anything go when it comes to defending Fezzik, yet anything remotely critical is deleted. So, it's surely A-OK for me to be called a jackass, yet pointing out that Fezzik's 2009 handicapping results were very poor and that is contest results are irrelevant to how one will do following him will surely be deleted. C'est la vie.
No it's not A-OK. I had deadlines so wasn't able to stay on top of this. I'll look at it all now and deal. But I'll say going in, I don't appreciate having to deal with childish behavior. Nor do I appreciate anyone on this board posting what they THINK they know about how I operate. I won't put up with either for long.

I've read it. rickj, thanks for saving me a lot of time. You get it. fullvalue1212, I don't care if it's me that you're defending, personal attacks and and uncivil comments aren't allowed. Dont' do that again. The dissatisfied. I'm sorry if you aren't getting everything you want your way, but our model will not change unless we decide it should. If you want the things here that you like, then you'll have to put up with the things that you don't. skrtelfan, you again. Why don't you challenge me just one more time, and I'll show you what deleting is all about.
I believe it is somewhat hypocritical that the "ads" at the left boast about Fezzik's handicapping prowess in order to promote this site. Yet no record of Fezzik's plays are actually kept here under the rationalization that records are too ambiguous and subject to too much controversy due to line manipulation and line availability
I also agree with Bucky and the 2 other guys. Everybody wants a high quality board, we can agree on that. It's also very understanable that Fezz and Anthony want to make as much profit off the board as possible. The problem IMO is that the no record keeping, and the advertising on the left is going to attract much more recreational bettors than winning players. Winning guys know Fezzik and Alf are most likely going to post winning results in the long run, and they are willing to pay for access to them and other strong posters. But they might not want to pay money to share their ideas with primarily the type of players the above policies attract. Or they might also feel a fast one is trying to be pulled with the above policies. I think you will get even more subscribers in the long run with record keeping. Stronger posters will come in to help carry the load with Fezz/Alf/Shooter, etc. And then the masses will be attracted by the pretty records... just like it is on every other board on the internet. Stronger board and stronger revenue, IMO.

RickJ
Since the NCAA tournament started i picked off 9 straight loosers, and shame on me for not doing my own D.D. I have learned a lot here this year, but that string sets a new record. It will turn, but without me following anymore until football starts again, which is my favorite sport anyway. "Fezzik's record speaks for itself. Its amazing. i totally agree There are times when I can't pick my mother out of a police lineup with The Supremes. The information shared by the sharps on this website is invaluable. I can't believe it is so inexpensive to join.
Another way to look at it: Some view this as a fish store. Others view it as a fishing college. I see and prefer it to be the latter. There are plenty of places I can go to get picks. But after reading all the books, the only place I have learned new THEORY is here. The value is in the theory.
