NCAA Tournament Thursday

NCAA Tournament Thursday 714 UCLA +1.5 UCLA beat BYU when they were at their best and lost to No.#1 seed Kansas by one point, this says plenty about the class and character of this scrappy team. Mich St is a border line NCAA Tournament team this year IMO, and has lost three of their last six games going into the big dance. Yes, HC Tom Izzo is a genius when it comes to tournament time, but many followers of the Spartans agree with me that they are lucky to be in and this is their worst tournament team in years under Izzo. My favorite stat in this matchup...UCLA is 13-7 ATS vs. teams with a winning record, while Mich St is just 8-16 = overrated and over priced. 723 Richmond +3 Two weeks ago watching Vandy on their home court taking on Florida, I made a note, that if Vandy makes the tournament they won't get out of the first round. Florida shellacked Vandy by 10, where Vandy a small club played little defense, turned the ball over consistently in the 2nd half, were out-hustled for every loose ball and then did the exact same thing again and lost by 11 to Florida who is not a great team on Saturday in the SEC Conference match. Talk about a lack of adjustment and no coaching! Vandy only beats the piss poor teams like LSU and Auburn that they are supposed to beat. The Spiders are hot, winners of their last seven SUP and ATS. They start four and sometimes five seniors. They can score from all over the floor and with Harper and Anderson they knock down the "3" anytime. I made Richmond a -1.5 point favorite and will gladly take +3 now. 733 Penn St. +1.5 Temple has lost in the first round in each of the last three years. (Cornell last year) Also bad loses this year to Cal, A&M, Duquesne and couldn't hit a shot when it counted against Richmond in the A-10 Final, have me believing that Penn St is right side. State who starts four seniors has been on a very solid run late in the season vs. the Big Ten. They are a deep team that makes their free throws and dunks the ball allot with F's Brooks and Jones. Defense is the key in tournament play and the Nittany Lions have not surrendered 70 points once this year. [U]I made an error in posting the Penn St game number and odds. (it was a bad copy and paste job with UCLA) Funny how if I get/post a number better by half a point or money line by 10 cents everyone complains and jumps all over it, but no one noticed that my posting Penn St +1.5 was an error..?..no worries...they were always +2 or +2.5 and hopefully you got the best of the number. Penn St. 733. Thanks Alf.
