New Prices

New Prices We've hinted for a while that we would be restructuring things before the 2011 football season and we've decided to implement the changes now. We've thrown around a dozen different models and have been close to going with a couple of them, but this is what we've settled on. Our format will remain the same. No tiered levels and a choice of monthly or yearly membership. The new prices are $99 per month and $999 per year from today forward. If you're reading this now, however, that doesn't apply to you. All active LVASports members are grandfathered at the existing pricing, at least until 12/31/2013. It's because of you that we've gotten to this point and have made the decision to continue. For that, we want to express our gratitude with this price freeze. If you are on a monthly auto-renew, you don't need to do a thing; you will continue to be charged the old price. If you are on a yearly, you may renew that at the old price until 2014. If you would like to switch from one to the other, you can also do that at the old prices, though you'll have to PM me with that request until we get it programmed. The only requirement to continue under this offer is that you don't lose contact. That is, if you cancel at any point, you will lose the "Founding Member" status that we are according you here. I won't make too many promises about related upgrades we have planned for the program, since over-promising has gotten me into trouble in the past. But I can assure you there are some good additions planned. At the very least, Fezzik and Alf will continue as they have been on these boards, along with our other good posters in several areas. Thank you again for making this radical idea work well enough for us to make the decision we've made.
This has to be an attempt to keep old subscribers instead of drawing in new ones. Pretty slick gimmick in my opinion. I'll re-up when the time comes.
Sure. Always an angle. Sigh.
Anthony- no complaints from me. I appreciate all that you do and certainly all that our workhorse handicappers do. I appreciated being grandfathered in and have enjoyed watching the board evolve.

Anthony You started charging to keep out the "haters," but I'm curious why you're going up so much? This is an information site, not a tout service, so I think it's a bit high - IMO. For $25 a month, sometimes I would skip a few days of reading. At $100 a month, it's almost an investment - and I'll have to work it daily. To significantly change your pricing structure, there has to be some reasoning behind it. If you don't mind, perhaps you could share your thoughts here? I'm being more curious than critical, so please view my post as constructive.
I will chime in I want this to be the BEST site out there. But, given our prior pricing, the revenue just wasn't there for me to give the site enough attention, and certainly not to recruit others. Given the attention I HAVE given this site, my resume, and the prior price, it was ridiculously low priced compared to comparable products. This isn't a 'picks' site, but I am letting people know what I'm playing, and contrast that to the tout world charging thousands a year, with 95% of them losing bettors/con men and total frauds. THe best way to use this site is to read the posts, read the plays and MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND on what to play. If you aren't getting $100 a month in value, then I'd invest more time reading the posts!! Or...........wade through thousands of threads on free pages where posters debate great topics like "would you do her?". OR.......head over to see Jeff Allen, Wayne Allen Root, etc.

Fez, I see your point. When the time comes, I'll have to evaluate if I can justify the $100 a month. I can afford it, but may not be able to spend enough TIME to get a good ROI. $25 is a throw in, $100 is a bit more significant. I'm using a horse service right now and find myself in the same predicament. Some days I don't get away from my work to watch their selections run, and I won't bet without seeing the odds. When I just bet the "overlays," I can make $$$, but you have invest some time. Quadrupling the price here was an eye raiser, but grandfathering people like me in is a nice gesture. In lieu of a reply from AC, your explanation is good for me. If Anthony has anything to add, I hope we hear from him too.
I'm assuming those of us who are grandfathered in will be notified in the usual way that it is renewal time without having to worry about our membership expiring and therefore becoming subject to the new pricing. I'd hate to have a gap in my membership and then get charged the new rate because I didn't remember my renewal date. Is that a correct assumption?
starting lineup is? Fezz or Anthony, what is the lineup? who are the other handicappers that you have planned to join the site ? thanx MrTop
