I had Golden State a couple of years ago and they were winning by 43 at the start of the 4th quarter and didn't cover. I layed -12.5 or something and lost by the hook. Check it, 06-07, April the year they beat Dallas in the first round.
Here's the game on April 15, 2007. Golden State led by 43 at the start of the 4th quarter vs. Minnesota and were laying 13.5. Minnesota 22 28 16 42 108 Final Golden State 38 30 38 15 121 Now this is a tough beat.
I got one... It's November 4th 2004. The Cavs are an eight-point dog to the Heat. I laid the eight with the Heat. With 1+ seconds to go, Miami is up 92-83 when 2nd-year player Lebron James heaves a 65-footer as the final buzzer sounds. It's about 7 feet wide. The game is over right? How can I lose? Well, as Udonis Haslem is heading for the locker room, he sees the ball coming and jumps up to catch it. The ref calls goal-tending(!) and gives James the three-pointer for the cover. 92-86 final I'm not trying to top anyone with bad beat stories, I just thought some might enjoy -- or perhaps even remember -- this one. I’m doing this purely on memory, but I think I have the deets about right. Back circa 1989, long before satellite TV, the CAC or whatever was the precursor to that had a game like George Mason and Navy as I watched it on Sports Channel America. I had the underdog +5.5 winning by one with seconds left. The chalk had the ball. The only realistic chance is for the chalk to get fouled, hit one shot than send it to OT. The unrealistic happened. Mason (?) hits the three, but Navy (?) or whomever calls a timeout with little time left. One problem, they have no timeouts. It’s a two-shot technical *and* they lose possession. The chalk hits the two shots, gets another possession. With whatever time is left, the dog immediately fouls. The underdog hits two more free throws. In short, it was seven points in just a few seconds to cover by a hook.

Good Call Prof Meyer....I had the Cavs in that game and I remember it well. Great outcome. Funny thing was, a friend of mine called me to ask if I saw the great cover. I was about 2 minutes behind on my DVR; I had forgotten I backed it up earlier and I thought I was watching live. I was wondering how he knew. Then I watched it multiple times and loved it. Great call by the official. I think it was only a 50 footer...
