One CBB total 746 Cal Poly UNDER 130.5
Last season the Mustangs games only averaged 118 points. They may have some better scoring options this year but one thing that will remain the same is the pace they play at. "We take great pride in making the game ugly, because the result is a win," Cal Poly coach Joe Callero said. "The players bought into it and our fan base bought into it -- they were hungry for success. & As a matter of fact, there's a bit of pride about how ugly we can make it and how it's going to bother you but it doesn't bother us." While most exhibition games are usually result in high scoring games the Mustangs did not deviate from what they did last season winning an ugly game against Notre Dame de Namur 63-46. One thing I noticed from last season is when the Mustangs play at home they really crank up the defense. In 14 home games last season opponents shot 38% and averaged 54 ppg. The Spartans come into this game losing their leading scoring option All-WAC guard Adrian Oliver (24.0 ppg) from last season’s team and were not overly impressive offensively in their exhibition game or the summer tour.
