One Fine Friday Opening Round Selection

One Fine Friday Opening Round Selection Texas - Oakland UNDER 154 Looking at raw numbers most people would say you have to be nuts to play an under with Oakland involved. Oakland averages 85.6 points per game and well above 90 points in conference play but against the seven NCAA tourney teams they faced they only averaged 68 PPG. They will face a Texas defense that gives up only 61 PPG and is considered to have three excellent defenders in their starting lineup. Texas on offense has only scored above 80 point one time in the last 16 games and shoots just 64% from the free throw line. Both teams could also play tight for the first few minutes as they feel each other out and try to settle themselves in an arena they have never played in. Strong play for me on the under in this early Friday matchup.
I can't do it Oakland a total track meet, and I don't see why with their year-end success with it, they won't run run run. And Texas should be aok with run run run back. I think this is a great ingame wager, watch the first 2 minutes, it should tell you all you need to know.........I will fire in an under 152 if we get a slow placed start.
Texas - Oakland Total Remember teams usually play tight the first couple minutes in there first game in the tourney so I wouldn't fire away based on the first two minutes of action. Also, great defenses in football and basketball will always slow down a great offense. Oakland tried to run early in the year but couldn't agianst bigger, stronger and better athletes. Against the dregs of the Summit conference even John Kelly would look like he still has game.
Lee, From experience I know John Kelly still has game! I lost mine years ago.

JK's Game From what I've heard JK does have a nice game but for some reason he's never taken me up on playing in my twice a week game. I've given him an open invite. He might be really good but he'll be dead tired playing outdoors in what we refer to as the jungle. I think JK's gone soft since he started going to Costa Rica
so- over or under? [QUOTE=Fezzik;40697]Oakland a total track meet, and I don't see why with their year-end success with it, they won't run run run. And Texas should be aok with run run run back. Sounds like it;s going to be about right on the number. What do you guys think?
I'm not watching, but look at how far down they are running the shot clock before taking a shot. Only looking at the score puts you at the mercy of shooting accuracy.
Fez 1 Sterling 0
Sorry about the play. Texas played almost as little defense as Oakland did and the game turned into a track meet of uncontested layups and three pointers. TraderMac- It's comments like yours that run people off message boards. I'm here to exchange ideas and post some thoughts I have on games. I'm not going to win all the time and neither will Steve.
Dude, did I kick your dog or something? All I said was 1 to 0? How in the hell is that offensive? If you had won, I would've posted Sterling 1 Fez 0. I'm certainly not trying to say Fez is better than you. I'm just stating that it's 1 to 0. And really, that's not accurate because Fez didn't value it highly enough to make it a "pick". Whatever the hell constitutes that.
