It is a slice I recall. Should be an inquiry into today---maybe there was a riot---they scored 99. I actually think Fez is right. Toronto fans are not Philly fans that is for sure but the Raptors are somewhat irrelevant in the Toronto market even with decent attendance. I think 17000 today not sure what the average and it was the Wizards. Just a huge 2nd or 3rd or 4th compared to the Leafs. Same group owns both. My point I guess the Raptors really have had no success since inception. The pizza thing has been around 10 years as Blue and I were talking about in another thread. I think Casey as coach preaching D has cut down the number of pizza slices going out. There is no playoffs again. Casey's job not at stake. I think he's proved his point that he can get them to play better D. But I think maybe just maybe for the last few weeks they have the green light to open it up a bit and in the process score a few more points, get a few more cheers in the building and give out a few slices. Here is the science of it from my review of their HG. No pizzas until Feb. 3 vs. Wizards where they get 106. And believe me PP can afford to give out the pizzas so no conspiracy theory there. In fact they only get this one of their first 13 HG over 99 pts. PP boss calls meeting and they get 3 of the next 10. And amazingly quite a few 99's. You'd think they would get 100 if they could get to 99 but I didn't look into the closeness of the games or perhaps it was desperation time to even get 99. But I am surprised. And they get 3 in a row and today one pt shy of making it 4 in a row. All kinds of their games are flying over both home and away. I bet that Denver game under just a miracle that stayed under and the only reason it did was the Raptors played some D to win the game and held Denver to 11 pts in the 4th. Pizza and a win and an under. Amazing. A theory: A page out of the Warriors and the Kings playbook and that is if D isn't going to win you a championship you may as well go down shooting the lights out, letting guys put up big numbers against you. It is exciting. Does anyone really want to see the Heat grind out an 85-70 win over the Raptors for the home crowd. No, let's see LeBron shoot, Wade shoot, etc.. As far as I'm concerned the Heat are in on it. The Spurs are definitely in on it. Score as much as you want on them but you can't get enough to win most nights. Not surprised to notice Raptors got over 100 on them. I think Sacramento had 110 or something and lost the other nights. Pop gets it I'll tell you that.
