Is there any way to do a query for the first game of the season for each team?
There are a number of ways in the NBA.
You could use:

rest>50
or you could use:
wins=losses=0
In the NBA, of course, sometimes one team is playing their first game of the season and their opponent is not.
There is one thing you should be aware of. The database starts in 1995-96, so there are no rest numbers for the opening game of that season. Therefore rest>30 will not include the opening games of the 1995-96 season, but wins=losses=0 will.
So, if you want to see how home teams do in game one, use:
H and wins=losses=0

If you want a listing of how every team has done in game one, use:
wins=losses=0 and team

Check out the Lakers' and the Rockets' OU records in their openers -- and they play each other on Tuesday.
Thanks for the question. Keep'em coming.
