Rick Majerus, RIP Terribly saddened to learn of the passing of ex-Ball State, Marquette, Utah, Southern Cal (for a couple of days), and St. Louis head coach Rick Majerus. Helped generate a nice chunk of change over the years and was one of a kind, to say the least. Not the ideal personality to play for by many accounts, but Lombardi, Belichick, Aurebach, Knight, Saban, etc. aren't/weren't everyone's cup of tea either.
Old story, Majerus has his trademark sweater stolen during a game while coaching a game. Asked about it afterwards he says something like "Well, at least somewhere a disadvantaged family of four has a warm place to stay tonight."
This needs to be in his obit as well:
