Shooter's 1/7 CBB 16-16 last night. Got unlucky on a lot of plays and it's very discouraging. Early plays (pre 7 PM): 730 Elon (-1) (-115) 706 S Alabama (+3) (-108) USA seemingly had a better tm LY and went 0-3 against the Toppers. Now they get WKU off a win over SEC club. WKU looks too easy here. 722 UL Lafayette (-4) (-107) ULL is 4-10, UNT is 9-5 and No Tex beat ULL twice LY by DD and ULL comes out the fav? Something's fishy. 742 Jacksonville St (+3) (-104)

710 Cleveland St (-9) (-108) Cle St down a lot from LY, but played a murder schedule (at Kan St, at Ohio St, West Va, Wichita St, Kentucky in Cancun). Loyola is 11-3 and taking 9 from a 5-10 team? That tells you the right side. 715 Michigan (+3) (-120) Penn St has some good players but just not enough. 708 Florida Atlantic (+1) 703/704 Xavier/LaSalle OV 145' (-108) 704 LaSalle (+4') LaSalle off loss to Binghamton, and a shorthanded and undermanned Binghamton at that. Still I don't trust X as a road fav when their guards, albeit talented, make such terrible decisions with shot selection (mainly Jordan Crawford). 713/714 G Mason/N Eastern UN 122 711/712 UIC/Youngstown St OV 130' (-108) These two teams made FG's in the teens and the total is this high. Hmmm. 719/720 Middle Tenn/Arkansas St OV 130' (-108)

723/724 New Orleans/Denver OV 118 (-108) Hoping I caught the bottom of the move downward. This looks like an Under game, but UNO scores a little better now that Billy Humphrey is back in the lineup and DU is not the slow down team we all think. They can score if needed. 726 CS Northridge (-4') (-108) CSUN 0-2 in Big West and this is a must win. 727/728 Beach/Fullerton UN 147 727 Long Beach (PK) Beach must more battle-tested and better coached.

Horrible night in the Big West costs me winning night. I suck in that conference. All the teams are so equal that it makes it card to cap the conference. I suck right now. Bad # on So Ala costs me a win, Michigan was one lucky win. LaSalle and UL Lafayette (ahead of # the whole way) choked at end. I just can't win to save my life. Pathetic.

Hey Shooter, i echo what jmarty said. I think you do good work and like me are really hard on yourself. I've been tracking your stuff and you have good abilities, so don't get too low when you have a few "bad beats", or too high when you are on a roll. For what it is worth, i've learned over the years to realize i'm not going to hit 60-70% nightly. Nobody hits 70% in this world, unless they are playing a handful of games per week! I've come to realization that my goal night in and out should be to try to WIN, or to limit my losses if i don't have a winning night. I know it sounds kind of "really", but i have found a nice balance by approaching it this way. I don't get mad at myself because i did not lose the game. The athletes/coaches i bet on did not come thru for me. It makes it feel a little better knowing my only mistake was betting the wrong way on a side or total and having terrible numbers on games. You seem to know your stuff and should keep on truckin! Look forward to your future posts and good luck as always!
