Shooter's 3/11 CBB

ACC OPENING ROUND #3: 717 North Carolina (+4) 717/718 North Carolina/Georgia Tech OV 143' Georgia Tech is a bubble team that "needs a win". They handled UNC twice this year and only lay 4. This is one of the rare games where UNC might not be the dumbest team on the floor. MAC QUARTERFINAL #3: 727 Ohio U (+3) (-104) 1st H Ohio lost twice to Kent State. Kent State beat archrival Akron on Akron's floor last Friday to win the outright MAC title. They may still be a little hungover early.
BIG EAST QUARTERFINAL #3: Going against the grain with this one 709 Notre Dame (+1') (-105) 1st H 709 Notre Dame (+3) (-117) Game 709/710 Notre Dame/Pittsburgh OV 126 The value on the Irish unders are now gone. Every square and their brother knows that ND is slowing tempo. Value now on the over. Mike Brey has finally figured out that shooting 3's and running and gunning isn't how Notre Dame can win. This is the best I've seen them play in years. Pitt has a lot of NYC kids playing at home so we may see them tight and nervous early even off of rest. BIG 12 QUARTERFINAL #3: 733/734 Oklahoma State/Kansas State UN 145' 734 Kansas State (-4') Kansas State may come in hungry off of a bad home loss to Iowa State. Okie State shot the lights out (30/56 and 11 3-balls)last night and may have shot their wad in the process. SOUTHLAND SEMIFINAL #1: 791 Texas AM-CC (+2) (-103)
SEC OPENING ROUND #3: 749/750 Auburn/Florida UN 142' These two teams both take terrible shots. Auburn is especially woeful shooting the ball on the road.
CUSA QUARTERFINAL #3: 740 Tulsa (-1) BIG 10 OPENING ROUND #3: 757/758 Penn State/Minnesota UN 127 758 Minnesota (-6) (-104) Penn State has been, by far, the trendiest upset picks today. Trendy picks don't win. When the media pundits are picking this one, you know it's the wrong side.

PAC-10 QUARTERFINAL #3: 763 Stanford (+7') (-103)
MOUNTAIN WEST QUARTERFINAL #3: 771 TCU (+16') (-105) 771/772 TCU/BYU UN 145 BYU just laid 107 on this team and beat them by 30 on the road. BYU may be looking ahead to UNLV-Utah winner. TCU will go hard after that asskicking. WAC QUARTERFINAL #3: 779 Idaho (+8) Game on Reno's home floor, but Idaho is sneaky. Well-coached by former Stew Morrill asst Don Verlin. Nevada has two potential 1st round picks and another draftable player and they are only like 19-11. That tells me this coach at Nevada is a major downgrade from Mark Fox and Trent Johnson.
great day so far Shooter hitting 70%...keep it up
SWAC QUARTERFINAL #4: 797 Texas Southern (-2) BIG EAST QUARTERFINAL #4: 711 Cincinnati (+5) (-105) 1st H 711 Cincinnati (+9) Game There's always a darkhorse that makes a run here. I know this is the 3rd game for these boys, but we've seen 2 teams with the double-bye lose already. The coaches are all bitching about it.
BIG WEST QUARTERFINALS: 784 Long Beach State (-7) (-108) Always risky to lay lumber in the Big West, but Cal Poly expended a lot of energy to come back against UC Irvine and had an OT game with Irvine the game before. Beach should have much more in the tank here. 785 CS Fullerton (-2) ACC OPENING ROUND #4: 720 Clemson (-7) (-105) The lone fav and better seed that I think covers in this tournament today. Clemson had NC State down 17 at the half in Raleigh and let off the gas and the Wolfpack got in the back door in the earlier meeting. Won't happen tonight.
BIG 12 QUARTERFINAL #4: 735 Texas (PK) 1st H 735 Texas (PK) Game 735/736 Texas/Baylor UN 146 Lots of people on Baylor and I can see why. However, I think Texas is due for one soon enough.
