869/870 Wisconsin/Illinois OV 121 870 Illinois (+1') 1st H 870 Illinois (+3) Game "Revenge" game for Wisconsin. However, Illinois seems to play these guys better than any other Big 10 team. MISSOURI VALLEY CHAMPIONSHIP: 830 Northern Iowa (-3) (-107) UNI held Bradley to 13-39 FG and Drake to 13-40 the day before. Also outboarded both by a bunch. Wichita St has been outboarded both games in "Arch Madness". UNI is already a lock for a bid, but I don't see them letting up b/c of that. MAC OPENING ROUND: 836 Eastern Michigan (-8) 839 Ohio (-5) (-107) 841/842 Toledo/Buffalo UN 124

CAA SEMIFINAL #1: 831/832 VCU/ODU UN 131' 832 ODU (-1') 3rd game in 3 days for VCU against a rested ODU team.

MAAC SEMIFINAL #1: 847/848 Rider/Siena OV 143' 848 Siena (-7) (-105) 1st H Siena got their scare yesterday from Manhattan. They ended up scoring 78 on them while shooting only 38%. Manhattan got real chippy with them. So much so that McCaffrey sent the starters to the locker room to avoid the post game handshake line when he took them out late in the game. Siena has beaten the piss out of Rider both meetings. Ordinarily I would immediately look to the team that lost both meetings. Not here though. Every coach in the MAAC picked Siena, who was the overwhelming favorite, to finish 1st in the MAAC before the season EXCEPT for Rider coach Tommy Dempsey. Rider was 17-15 and 9-9 in the MAAC. How could anyone pick them to finish ahead of Siena. I look for Siena to come out focused early and right away here. Siena was down double digits to Manhattan in 1st Half until a late run cut it to 4 at half. Also, this is a home game for Siena. They had already sold 7000 tickets for this game before the end of last night.

871/872 Michigan St/Michigan OV 128' AMERICA EAST SEMIFINAL #1: 859 Boston U (-2) BU is the #4 seed and Stony Brook the #1 seed. BU is the most talented team in the America East. Stony was up for Albany yesterday b/c Albany was talking a lot of trash in the press. Letdown/lookahead here. Stony already thinking about the title game in their own gym. They beat BU twice already and they are underdogs? There is a reason why.

CAA SEMIFINAL #2: 833/834 William & Mary/Northeastern UN 115 834 Northeastern (-5) (-104) William & Mary allowed 67% on 2-point baskets yesterday to JMU. I know Northeastern went 2 OT's to beat Hofstra yesterday and that's why the line is moving against them. W & M has to make 3's to win and Northeastern is the much better defense. They played terrific defense against Hofstra yesterday.

SO CON SEMIFINAL #1: 851/852 Western Carolina/Wofford UN 62 1st Half MAAC SEMIFINAL #2: 849 Niagara (-1) 849/850 Niagara/Fairfield OV 137' Niagara seems to have turned the corner. They lost in OT at Fairfield in the reg season finale.

SUN BELT QUARTERFINAL 526 Troy (-4') (-107) PATRIOT LEAGUE SEMIFINAL #2: 875 American (+9) 875/876 American/Lehigh UN 63 1st Half

AMERICA EAST SEMIFINAL #2: 861/862 New Hampshire/Vermont UN 129 UNH only shoots 35% away from home.

WCC SEMIFINAL #1: 843/844 LMU/Gonzaga UN 151 I think LMU may want to slow this down being their 3rd game in 4 nights. Gonzaga also hasn't played in well over a week. They may be rusty like Butler was in the 1st half in their game last night. SO CON SEMIFINAL #2: 854 Appalachian State (PK) Charleston choked in the So Con Tourney last year. I think they do the same this year.
