Shooter's 4/14 NBA

Shooter's 4/14 NBA Good run, but not so good the last 3 days. Gotta end reg season on a good note. 501/502 Indiana/Washington OV 212' (-103) 503 New York (+7') (-109) 513 Memphis (+8') 513/514 Memphis/Oklahoma City UN 209 (-107) 519/520 Detroit/Minnesota OV 207 (-103) 521/522 Chicago/Charlotte UN 189 523/524 Phoenix/Utah UN 217' 525 Golden State (+11) 525/526 Golden State/Portland UN 212 527/528 LA Lakers/LA Clippers OV 193'
Any reason for the uniformity of the start times for tonight's games? All the the early games go at 8 pm, all the late games are at 10:30 (eastern time). There has to something behind this.
Does it have to do with playoff implications? I know that for Week 17 the NFL dicks around with the schedule to make as many games matter as possible.
That's about the only thing that makes sense. I also see that almost every team is playing tonight. I guess they don't want to give an advantage (extra rest) to anyone for the playoffs.

Another thing as well to be considered is that this is the final home game for all of the home teams. Usually each team has some kind of ceremony or "Fan appreciation" night. This is especially important for all the non-drawing teams that struggle for attendance. They do discounted tickets and try to sell out the season finale in hopes of locking these folks in for season-ticket plans (Full-season, Half-season, 10-game) for next year. They also do a lot of groups for final home games and focus on renewing their existing STH's.
Also, there is the possibility of a lot of these games affecting who may or may not get into the playoffs and seeding. Having most of the games start at the same time cuts down on the possibility of teams getting accused of tanking games to get better seeding, and all the other stuff that's bad for the league that can happen in these situations. But hell, Lebron hasn't played since 4/6, Kobe's sat out a bunch of games, and half of Atlanta's lineup is out tonight. Every other player who's either old, has logged a lot of minutes, or has a nagging injury on a playoff team seems to have been kicking it on the sidelines lately in games that don't matter.
524 Utah (-5) Chasing like a fucker here. I have to manufacture a winning night. Have to sweep the late games. Utah has to win to get homecourt. Phoenix does not.

Phoenix does not.[/QUOTE] If PHX wins they play Portland (Most likely without Roy). If PHX loses they play Denver. They may not win. But trust me this game is just as important (if not more) to PHX as it is to Utah. Plus Boozer strained a ribcage in Oakland the other night.
Phoenix hitting a lot of 3's just like last night. Of course, it helps that they are all wide open looks. 525 Golden State (+8) (-120) 2nd Half Roy was already out. Aldridge and Camby sitting. Pendergraph and Cunningham playing the whole time. GS can score inside with ease and have done so. Miller only played 8 minutes as well.
523/524 Phoenix/Utah OV 106' (-101) 2nd H 10-pt middle here. 528 LA Clippers (+6') 2nd H Lakers will play Mbenga and Powell extended minutes in 2nd H. Pau already has 15 minutes. He'll get 10 more and they will take him out.
