Something I have noticed this year in NCAA basketball, tell me if I am crazy. This is something I can not get over as I feel it is astonishing to me at how easy it is to get "charge" offensive foul calls this year in college basketball. I hate talking about officiating but I really think something changed this year with the way refs call it. I never remember it being so "easy" to get the offensive foul calls and in the past getting an offensive foul on a player this way was something the defense really had to earn. Today watching the tourney games it seems there were a large amount of these calls that in the past were always called on the defense. Maybe something to do with the input of the semi circle restricted area this year. I do not know but I have always watched a lot of college basketball and never have felt like this before. Any thoughts on this?
