Tony at 5Dimes at it again...

Tony at 5Dimes at it again... The biggest sleazeball in the business bar none. Per their webpage rules: NCAA first & next 10-minute results are determined from recorded digital recordings of television broadcasts. The ball must be completely through the cylinder and net before 9:59 remaining for a basket to be official in the first 10 minutes of a half. ESPN.com, Yahoo.com, CBSsportsline.com, or any other play-by-play log of the game will not be used or considered for claims. In Baylor/Duke Tweety Carter takes a shot with 10:00 on the clock from about 4 feet away. I don't know how to put a screen image from my TV on to prove it but with the screen paused and the ball sitting directly between the rim and the bottom of the net the clock has changed to 9:59. I call to complain (I'm sure those betting OVER 31.5 also got graded loser) and Tony starts going crazy over the phone claiming he has watched in "20 times and the ball was through the rim and it just looked like it hadn't cleared the net because it the net was moving". Huh? I have a perfect still on a 60 inch right in front of me where the ball is clearly directly encompassed by the net with the clock clearly reading 9:59. When I told him he was incorrect about the ball clearly being inbetween the net and rim he simply exploded yelling obscenities and claiming that his decision was his decision. So I called my agent and told him just to turn my account off with 5Dimes. Too many shady issues with them and I don't like being cheated. Anyone else by chance happen to have this same wager with 5Dimes today?
Other books have that bet? See what they graded it if so. Tony is God is his famous words.
Yeah he went bezerk telling me "Are you questioning my decision"? Yes Tony I am.
This is a tough one. At the end of periods, it's easy to judge these, but at these incremental marks, stuff like this can happen. The basket includes the net, and it appears a goal is good when it goes through the goal or basket, which includes the net, or the ball remains in the net, which appears to be subject to interpretation, but I would think it is used when the ball gets stuck in the net for some reason, like players getting tangled up in the net. Unfortunately, it appears this Tony guy is right, despite the fact he is almost universally scorned by sharp bettors, and many not so sharp bettors for his behavior. I would think the books should define when a basket is counted for these incremental time bets, especially since they are being judged differently than end of the period bets. This is from the NCAA rule book. This is a definition of a goal: Section 33. Goal Art. 1. A goal shall be made when: a. A live ball that is not a throw-in enters the basket from above and remains in or passes through; or b. A free throw enters the basket from above and remains in or passes through. Art. 2. Whether the game clock is running or stopped shall have no influence on the counting of a goal. This is a definition of the basket: Section 13. Baskets—Size, Material Art. 1. Each basket shall consist of a single metal ring, 18 inches inside diameter, its flange and braces, and a white-cord, 12-mesh net, 15 to 18 inches in length, suspended from beneath the ring. Art. 2. Each ring shall measure not more than 5/8 inch in diameter, with the possible addition of small-gauge loops on the under-edge or a smaller ring located directly under the required ring for attaching a 12-mesh net. Each ring and its attaching flange and braces shall be bright orange in color. Art. 3. The cord of each net shall be not less than 120-thread nor more than 144- thread twine, or plastic material of comparable dimensions, and constructed so as to check the ball momentarily as it passes through.

Climate, You know you and I are usually in one accord but you are absolutely incorrect. Please read the rules directly off of 5Dimes website that I posted in italics and underlined above in original message. If the ball is clearly surrounded by the net with the clock reading 9:59 on a paused TV screen shot then according to their own rules it is deemed after the 10 minute mark.

Quite frankly, I really hope you do win because I feel exactly the way you do about the situation and these type of people. Take it to sportsbookreview.com fwiw.
Michael Shackleford, The Wizard of Odds (see wizardofodds.com), started a website called sweatthemoney.com to publically address this type of behavior at brick and mortar casinos. That site was not generating much interest, so Mr. Shackleford unfortunately stopped updating it and has offered to give the site away to anyone willing to revive it. Your complaint may have been ripe for his site, if not for the lack of public interest. However, perhaps someone here would be willing to take the site over specifically for the purpose of checking this type of behavior at the offshore books. I would love to do it myself if not for the facts that: (a) I don't live in Las Vegas; and, (b) I have a full time job already (which, of course, is not sports betting). Now, Burger, I know this does not help you too much, but Mr. Shackleford also recommends thebeargrowls.com as another forum for checking innapropriate behavior at the brick and mortar stores. Thebeargrowls.com is a good site. Perhaps it''s worth your time to contact Al Rogers (The Bear) to see whether he's interested in outing similar behavior at offshore sites. If you are a Green Chip member at BJ21.com, you can also post a report in the "Sports Betting" forum. Even better, why not contact Tony again and tell him you are going to do all of these things? That probably won't get you your money, but it might make you feel better. Finally, for what it's worth, to the extent this type of thing ever happens at bodog.com, Michael Shackleford offers on his other website (wizardofodds.com) to personally contact Bodog on your behalf and atempt to mediate any disputes.

I just talked with my Agent and told him I wanted to meet with him Wed/Thur of the upcoming week and settle the account out. I told him in detail what happened today and what has happened over the past 1.5 years of dealing with the scumbag Tony and my agent himself has had some issues over the past few months with 5Dimes. He said my issue was enough to push him over the edge and take all his players to a different PayPerHead shop. Plus I am getting full credit for the win instead of a loss (From my agent, not 5 Dimes). Bye Bye 5Dimes.
Clue this novice in as to why you have an "agent". Thanks.
