Two in College Hoops

Two in College Hoops Two plays, one regular season, one in the WCC Tourney. 603 Penn -7.5 over Dartmouth Talent-shy Dartmouth continues to get ransacked on night 2 of these Ivy Friday/Saturday back-to-backs. Last two Saturdays they've given up 100 points to Brown and 96 points vs. Cornell. 196 points total on 142 possession, and that 1.38 points per possession about as bad as it can get. No lookahead for traditional Tuesday night season-ender vs. Princeton here, as Penn needs to get some traction and confidence after two consecutive conference losses. Penn much better than 6-6 Ivy record indicates, with 3 of those losses in OT and a fourth by 2 points. Additionally, not Penn's fault that opponents have shot 75.7% from the line, unfairlly inflating their defensive stats. In this instance Dartmouth doesn't get to the line much and is an average FT shooting team. Dartmouth has little home court edge and Penn's Cambridge to Hanover trip after last night's loss at Harvard is no big deal. 666 Santa Clara -5 over Loyola Marymount Santa Clara has beaten LMU twice this season, has been better over the course of the season, is rested, and Loyola Marymount shot extremely well last night, so we'll look for them to revert to their not-so-great norm. Talent gap here, as Santa Clara has three seperate players on all-conference team, defensive player of year, and player on all-frosh team, LMU had nobody mentioned when all-conference honors were announced.
What a cover by Penn- down 13 at the half, come back and win by 12.
